A checklist before an app offers money for your connection
The screen can be friendly and still be a bad trade. Read this before you install.
Check the developer name against the website, and check whether the app wants contacts, photos, SMS or accessibility. Connectivity does not need your camera roll.
Do not treat a rewards balance as income. If you cannot export a history of what was used and what was paid, you cannot reconcile it. A shared Wi-Fi network is not yours alone to sell.
Permissions that deserve a no
Contacts, messages, photos and the accessibility switch are a stop, unless the app can explain a task that truly needs them. Most connectivity claims cannot.
Heat, battery, and the bill
An always-on app spends battery and can spend a metered plan. Look at the phone after one evening before you look at the payout screen.
